This unit introduces students to techniques of health economic evaluation. It emphasises issues of data synthesis, analysis and presentation to produce the best evidence for making choices between alternative courses of action in business. The application of decision rules for economic efficiency in health care program evaluation and their influence on policy decisions are also introduced.
