Your personal statement is an important part of your application. Please read the prompts in the instructions carefully, and respond to each specific topic raised.Your personal statement should reflect how you would benefit from the experience. You could consider including what skills you are interested in developing and how this experience would complement your studies.
Yes! We encourage students to apply again if you have space in your course.
If a study tour is over-subscribed, students who have not been on a faculty study tour before will be prioritised over a student who has already been on one. Applications are assessed based on a students’ WAM, personal statement or pitch. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email and will also go onto a waitlist for the program in the event of a student withdrawing before the program starts.
If you have any technical issues completing your application, please contact Global Programs and Partnerships through Monash Connect. Be sure to share any screenshots you think might be helpful to solve the problem.
If your application is successful, the faculty will automatically enrol you in the appropriate unit code. You cannot enrol yourself via WES.
Flights and accommodation are usually organised by a third party provider. Once selected for a study tour, you will be advised of the arrangements for your specific trip and the timing of communication you can expect from the third party provider.
The style of accommodation is different for each study tour, generally ranging from single or shared rooms to self-contained apartments. For some destinations you may have the option to pay a ‘single room supplement’ to upgrade to a single room from a shared room if you’d prefer.
If your study tour has shared accommodation, you will have the opportunity to indicate anyone you would specifically like to share a room with. The accommodation type is different for each study tour, and not all study tours have shared rooms.
No. All participants must stay in the accommodation specified by Monash for the duration of the study tour.
It is your responsibility to research and apply for any visas required for your destination country. Monash will provide you with a letter outlining program details that can be used in a visa application if required.
We will circulate a list once participants have been finalised. This is an opportunity to share your contact details with other students going on the study tour, create a group chat and connect before your trip. Sharing contact details with other students is always on an opt-in basis only. There will also be a pre-departure session held before you leave where you will be introduced to the academic lead of the unit and other participants.
Once selected you will be invited to express an interest in sharing your experience with the Monash community on the Monash Business School Instagram account.
