Monash Business School is proud to work with the Harpswell Foundation who are dedicated to empowering young women in Cambodia through intensive leadership and academic development programs.
This unique study tour offers students the opportunity to contribute to this mission by collaboratively designing a tailored business education program for Harpswell’s students. The focus will be on helping these young leaders conceptualise and plan their own business ventures, equipping them with foundational business knowledge and strategic insight.
Participants will work in cross-cultural teams and engage directly with Harpswell’s students and staff. Your role will involve developing the structure and content of a program that introduces core business planning concepts that may include:
- Marketing strategy and communication
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Compliance and regulatory frameworks
- Risk identification and management
- Corporate governance
- Leadership and human resource management.
Before diving into program development, you’ll gain valuable insight into Cambodia’s dynamic business environment. Throughout the tour, you’ll have opportunities to explore:
- The cultural, social, and educational backgrounds of Harpswell’s students
- Their aspirations and the practical challenges they may face in business
- The broader socio-economic context that shapes entrepreneurship in Cambodia
Through meaningful engagement with Harpswell and its wider community, you will develop a deeper understanding of how to design inclusive, sustainable, and impactful business solutions in an emerging economy.
