About this program
Selected students will be enrolled in the MKX3521 or MKX5521 units in the T2-58 teaching period. This unit may count towards your undergraduate or postgraduate degree as a major, capstone, or elective unit.
The Department of Marketing has run the Global Study Programs in Marketing (GSPM) for the past 43 years. The program offers marketing students a unique and engaging global learning experience. Students will spend approximately 12 days in Tokyo and Kyoto exploring diverse marketplaces, marketing practices and consumer behaviours. Students will also directly engage with marketing managers from leading marketing organisations and brand companies.
Throughout the program, students will work in collaborative, real-time team environments to generate ideas, address problems, and offer creative solutions to complex marketing challenges set by a real-world client. If you want to sharpen your critical thinking, cross-cultural communication, and global awareness, please consider applying to the program.

Before departure, students must attend an on-campus learning workshop on 16 June 2026 at Caulfield campus. The workshop is face-to-face and compulsory. Students who do not attend this workshop will be withdrawn from the unit and unable to participate in the study tour.
