Platform cooperativism and domestic work in Dhaka

Codesigning socio-technical infrastructures underpinned with cooperative values to support the empowerment of domestic workers in Dhaka.

We are working with domestic workers, government representatives, NGOs and trade union activists to

(i) understand the everyday experiences and challenges of women working in the informal domestic work sector, and

(ii) codesign socio-technical interventions to develop the social, cultural, and financial capital available to these women at work.

This project is part of the Participatory Research and Ownership with Technology, Information and Change (PROTIC) initiative.
