Amplifying Women's Promotion Success Program: Crafting a Compelling Story

The Amplifying Women’s Promotion Success program is a gender equity initiative aligned with the commitments of Athena Swan and the objectives of the University’s Gender Equality Action Plan. It aims to support women’s academic success through practical skill-building, with a strong emphasis on writing skills and the use of persuasive language.

Participants will learn how to articulate their achievements and vision with clarity and impact, and gain tips and strategies for developing a compelling narrative that strengthens their case for promotion.

Program Focus

This two-day program is intentionally aligned with the academic promotion timeline and focuses on two sections of a promotion application:

  • Executive Summary of Achievements to Date; and
  • Three-year vision

While attending both workshops is recommended to maximise benefits, registrations are accepted for each session individually. The program also fosters valuable peer connections and provides a safe, supportive space for shared learning.
