Entering financial information into the application
The application should already include the standard (minimum ) dollar amount of the RTP equivalent stipend that is a requirement of the NIPhD program. You will need to add any additional cash amount that your project will be providing. These can include :
- University stipend top-up
- Travel funding
- Project funding
- Specific equipment
Each type of contribution is entered separately and is calculated per year. Where there is a once-off payment, it should be be spread out over the four years of the program and you will need to break down the total amount over this period.
Description - The description should be concise and cover specific to what the contribution is. Do not include a narrative as the system has a limited word capacity.
Attachments - There is no requirement to provide additional evidence of financial cash and n-kind contributions.
In-Kind Contributions
In-kind contributions must be essential to the project and beyond the contributions to meet the Program's eligibility requirement and/or standard University provisions to a PhD student.
Examples of standard University provisions that should not be included are:
- Supervisor's time commitment
- IT equipment
- Desk/workstation
