Environment and behaviour mapping in Residential Aged Care: Evidence to inform built, technology and workforce design
The final report from Australia’s Aged Care Royal Commission identified the need for Residential Aged Care Design Guidelines and tools for people moving into residential aged care and their families to consider aged care design. This project is building new evidence to address this need by: 1) undertaking a scoping review of methods used to evaluate aged care built and technology design internationally; 2) prospectively evaluating Victorian-based small-scale and larger residential aged care facility designs; 3) developing new curriculum for design student education; and 4) producing resources for health professionals, designers and consumers.
