Huge congratulations to Dr Lisa Higgins, who scooped up two highly prestigious State awards for her research into long-term outcomes for critically ill COVID patients. Read more in Monash News.

Congratulations to Dr Lisa Higgins from ANZIC-RC, recipient of the Critical Care International Early Career Achievement Award at the American Thoracic Society conference which is currently underway in San Diego. Nominated by Professor Carol Hodgson, Lisa is a health economics research fellow, with a focus on evaluating the costs of care in critical illness, and conducting economic evaluations alongside clinical trials in critical care.

Our PhD student Tan Nguyen has been awarded the 6th annual Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health Cost-Effectiveness Analysis Paper of the Year Award. Tan's paper assesses the impact of a 20% sugar sweetened beverages tax on preventing dental caries in the Australian population.
