At the National Centre for Healthy Ageing on the Peninsula campus, Director Professor Velandai Srikanth and his team are focused on the question that is likely to dominate public – and private – life for at least the next 30 years: how do we all age better.

That’s not just about staying free of illness – although health remains a key objective. It’s also about what a good retirement (or not) looks like, what excellent care should look like, what new technologies will support us and, critically, working out just how much a good old age is going to cost us as individuals, our families and society at large.
