Research expertise

We conduct research about law, taxation, human rights and corporate social responsibility using traditional legal, empirical legal, comparative and interdisciplinary methods. Our location within the Monash Business School gives us opportunities to push the boundaries of legal research to explore questions about law that cannot be addressed using traditional methods. We are particularly interested in projects which explore the impact of law, regulatory alternatives beyond formal law, and access to justice.

Our researchers work collaboratively in research groups to create research outcomes that have an impact in Australia, the Asia-Pacific region and around the world. We work in conjunction with the business community, accounting and legal professions, government agencies, social welfare bodies and international organisations.

We have a vibrant research culture and regularly sponsor international symposia, as well as host a range of research seminars.
