Is there a deadline by which I need to apply for a transfer into the new degree?

Yes. You need to request to move to the 2024 course by 29 January 2024 to move into the new course from Semester 1 2024. After this date it will still be possible to change, but you will need to do so via the formal course transfer process and wait until the following semester.
