Circular economies
Under this theme, we examine a range of issues relating to how different types of organisations transform themselves and their supply chains to become part of the circular economy (CE). We focus on their motivation to start the circularity journey, the strategies and practices adopted, the barriers and challenges experienced and the outcomes achieved.
From our analysis, we develop new frameworks for adopting CE principles and the critical success factors that must be in place to create a circular economy. We are particularly interested in examining how small- and medium-sized enterprises transform themselves. In our completed research, on The circular economy journey, we have written a number of case studies of companies that have successfully started their journey.
