Peer Mentoring
The program
We want every student to feel welcome and supported at Monash from the moment they arrive on campus. That’s why Monash gives all first- year students the opportunity to be matched with a peer mentor to ease their transition and help them make connections at university.
About the role
As a Peer Mentor, you will share your knowledge about life at Monash with your mentees, offering tips about how to succeed and enjoy their first year. You'll also be able to network with other like-minded student leaders in the program and make a positive impact on others while gaining important employability skills.
Leadership roles are available to experienced mentors. Senior Mentors guide Peer Mentors in their roles as they help new students transition to university and settle into Monash.
Who can participate?
Peer mentoring roles are open to current students.
Eligibility requirements may differ between faculty programs.
Time commitment
Approx. 20 hours throughout the program (programs run for one semester).
