The Organisation
The Monash Student Association (MSA) is the focal point of campus life and the peak representative body for undergraduate students at Monash Clayton. Their volunteer opportunities are designed to develop your personal and practical skills while having fun, meeting new people and taking a break from your studies.
About the volunteering roles
MSA Leadership & Volunteering offers a wide-ranging list of volunteer activities based on student needs and interests with a focus on improving the student experience.
NOTE - the following MSA Volunteering Activities can be used towards MON2000:
- Academic Progress Committee (APC)
- Welfare Warrior Program - Volunteer Chats, Free Food Mondays and MSA Pantry
- MTPD Tutoring - Basic Computer Skills and Learning, Literacy and Numeracy
- Student Budgeting Service
- Tax Help
- Wholefoods Volunteers
- Ask Me Ambassadors
- Take Home Meals
- Breakfast Club
- Monash Permaculture Garden (will need to be paired with another activity in order to meet the 24 hr minimum requirement of MON2000)
Who can participate?
MSA Leadership & Volunteering is open to enrolled students across all campuses.
All volunteers must have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Pre-Volunteering Module
All staff and students will need to complete a short module, Foundations of Volunteering before undertaking any volunteering activities. Get started here!

Yes! The above listed MSA Volunteering activities can be undertaken as part of elective unit MON2000.
★ Can this count towards the volunteering digital badge?
Yes! Volunteering with MSA in the above listed roles can count towards the Impact through Ethical Volunteering badge.
