Staff Experience

As part of our commitment to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion at Monash, we continuously seek to understand staff experiences to help us gain deeper insights and understandings of common challenges and persisting barriers in relation to staff participation and success.

We actively seek diversity of perspectives and welcome feedback from staff at different levels of employment, of a variety of cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, faiths, ages, people with disability, LGBTIQA+ staff, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff. Upcoming Focus Groups

Staff of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities

We warmly invite you, our staff with lived experience, to take part in focus groups to help us assess how well Monash is fostering inclusive workplaces for staff of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities and what opportunities continue for us to improve. Focus groups are a unique way for us to gain deeper insights into any persisting barriers that staff of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities may experience in the workplace and for you to provide anonymous feedback, and recommendations that can further shape and influence our actions, policies and practices.
The focus groups will be facilitated by an external Diversity and Inclusion consultant who is a member of the LGBTIQA+ community. The sessions will be held via Zoom on dates listed below, with maximum capacity set at 10 participants per focus group.
