The candidate is required to make a 20-minute oral presentation at a departmental seminar, with the review panel and members of the supervisory team in attendance. The oral presentation should explore the research undertaken to date and the anticipated future directions of the research project.
The presentation will normally be followed by time for questions and feedback from members of the audience. Time should also be allowed for feedback from the panel in a closed session.
A written report of between 6,000 and 10,000 words needs to be submitted by the candidate at least 10 working days before the seminar for circulation to the review panel. A statement referring to the use of generative AI is required.
