Monash University has expertise in system modelling and optimisation, allowing accurate simulations of whole operations or assets to be modelled and improved. With the expansion of autonomous train usage, a whole system picture is required to ensure that such operations are safe, and not deleterious to other assets. These capabilities also extend beyond the rail corridor, to measure and model passenger movements in and around stations, improving accessibility and customer experience.
