Monash researchers play key role in A$4 million Homes NSW project
Researchers at Monash University’s Future Building Initiative and Monash Urban Lab are key collaborators on the Building 4.0 CRC and the NSW Government’s A$4 million Research and Development program.
The project, commissioned by Homes NSW, will harness modern methods of construction to increase the quality and supply of medium-density social housing.
The NSW Government has committed A$2 million for the program, matched with A$2 million contribution from Building 4.0 CRC, an industry-led research initiative funded by the Australian Government.
Monash University’s research components will be led by Dr Duncan Maxwell, Dr Sahar Soltani, Dr Lee-Anne Khor and Professor Shane Murray.
The research team includes Dr Laura Harper, Ross Brewin, Dr Camilo Cruz Gambardella, Jean-Paul Rollo, Dr Lisa Giusti Gestri, Practice Professor Nigel Bertram, Associate Professor Maryam Gusheh, Professor Mel Dodd, Catherine Murphy and Dr Tom Morgan.
