Central Clinical School invites you to attend the 2012 Postgraduate Research Symposium.

The main focus of the symposium is to improve the visibility of students and their research projects on a larger scale and celebrate their achievements.   PhD students from across the AMREP precinct: Baker IDI, Burnet Institutes and Monash University's Central Clinical School showcase their results. These students do much of their research in a clinical context, at the Alfred Hospital.

The symposium will give an opportunity for students to explain their research to other students and will foster collaborations, networking and a greater awareness of the expertise and research being conducted on the site. Student oral and poster presentations will be judged by a panel of senior academics and postdocs, with monetary prizes given for outstanding work.

Monash Postgraduate Association (MPA) has sponsored the lunch and also contributed to the prizes.  This event is free and CCS invites you to join colleagues and presenters for refreshments afterwards. See flier or download program (pdf, 1.8 mb) for timetable and details of presenters.

Date: Friday 5 October 2012
Time: 9.30 am - 4.30 pm
Venue: Lecture Theatre, level 5, Alfred Centre for oral presentations and hallway for poster presentations and refreshments.
