The School of Translational Medicine (STM, formerly Central Clinical School (CCS)) Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) committee is a grassroots research and advisory committee to advocate for equity and diversity within The School of Translational Medicine (STM), and to provide guidance and recommendations to the Head of School and the STM Executive Committee. Our terms of reference are aligned with the Monash University Diversity and Inclusion framework, and represents the STM as part of the Monash University Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences’ Equity Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

The STM EDI committee operates as a forum for the collective development and implementation of school-wide initiatives on diversity and inclusion issues, holding events to promote awareness for STM staff and students and to be a resources to all contact in regard to any issues of gender or inclusion inequity, providing a safe space to discuss these matters in a confidential, caring environment.

We are passionately committed to improving our workplace, supporting our staff across gender, diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, in wellbeing, and transforming the systems that limit the diversity of leadership in our medical researchers, educators and professional staff.
