Clinical trial courses

Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training (through Monash Partners)

All clinical trial staff are required to complete accredited International Conference for Harmonisation (ICH) Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training before conducting a clinical trial or interventional study.

Gain knowledge and confidence around the ICH GCP guidelines, which detail the requirements for trial documentation, protocol amendments, indemnity, reporting lines for adverse events, and provision of medical care for trial participants.

This course provides the accredited training required by most Human Research Ethics Committees.

Clinical Trial Fundamentals

Knowledge of clinical trial fundamentals has become essential for anyone working in clinical research. Gain the skills and confidence you need through this three-tiered stackable short course, providing core knowledge around guidelines and frameworks underpinning clinical trial management, and the practical knowledge needed by clinical trialists to execute their duties.

Master of Clinical Research

This Monash University course enables you to specialise in clinical research or translational medicine. The clinical research specialisation will allow you to develop a detailed understanding of biostatistics, epidemiology, data management, clinical trials, clinical measurement, ethical practice, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, and critical appraisal of the scientific literature for application in research and clinical practice.

Management Fundamentals for Clinical Trials

Management of clinical trials, trial staff and research funding requires specialist skills generally not taught in nursing, biomedical sciences or medical degrees, resulting in clinical trial professionals having to learn these skills on the job. This adds unnecessary pressure to new managers and can present risks to the integrity and safety of a clinical trial. This course endeavours to equip new managers and those aspiring to enter clinical trial management with the skills necessary to successfully undertake a clinical trial management role.

Graduate Diploma of Clinical Trials

The Graduate Diploma of Clinical Trials is a comprehensive program designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to design, conduct, and analyse clinical trials. Our course is especially beneficial if you're a healthcare professional, researcher, or someone looking to transition into the clinical trials industry.

Enrollment enquiries can be directed to pgradenq@monash.edu or 9903 0563.
