Korea University International Medical Student Conference

Each year the BMedSc(Hons) coordinators have the pleasure of nominating 1-2 students to attend and present their Honours work at the Korea University International Medical Student Conference.


Eligibility: Must be in the final year of the Monash University medical degree, and have completed BMedSc(Hons).

Korea University pays for the flights and 2-nights accommodation for the successful candidates.
Some fantastic prizes are also on offer.

Congratulations to two 2025 BMedSc(Hons) students who have been selected to represent Monash University at the LMU Munich Medical Student Science Conference. The conference will be held on June 13th 2026 in Munich, and both students have received a €1,500 travel grant to attend this year.

Medical Deans Australia and New Zealand 3MT + 1Q Competition

Each year we have the opportunity to nominate a student to represent Monash University at the Medical Deans of Australia and New Zealand - Research Educators Network (MDANZ-REN) Three Minute Thesis plus One Question Competition (3MT+1Q) .

Eligibility: Medical students (undergraduate or postgraduate) who are currently enrolled in a medical degree or related (concurrent or intercalated) research degree programme (including Honours, Master’s, PhD, MD/PhD or other intercalated research degree) from a medical school in Australia or New Zealand. The research may be completed, or currently being conducted, as part of their medical degree or associated research degree. Each Medical School across ANZ, can nominate one medical student to represent their University.

At Monash University, we select our nominee from the BMedSc(Hons) cohort each year, based on their final BMedSc(Hons) conference oral presentation.
