Terminology

We use the term Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to describe our courses, and other CPD-related activities that may be used to claim points/hours through accredited bodies. These CPD activities may or may not include formal accreditation or endorsement by professional bodies.

Evidence of concession eligibility

If concession registration is available (e.g. Monash Health, Monash University staff, profession, career level, specific membership, etc.), evidence of concession eligibility may be required at the time of registration, before the event or on the day of the event (e.g. in the form of a valid Monash Staff ID for Monash Health / Monash University / further documentation).

Refunds

You must apply in writing (via email: med.ob.gyn.courses@monash.edu) to withdraw from a CPD activity (e.g. course, workshop or other CPD activities).

Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. Please see the details below:

For CPD activities online:

1-2 days duration:

  • Before the early bird deadline: 100% Refund.
  • After the early bird deadline until 2 days* before the CPD activity commences: $100 administration fee.
  • Less than 2 days before the CPD activity commences: No Refund.

For CPD activities in Melbourne, Australia:

1-2 days duration:

  • Before the early bird deadline: 100% Refund.
  • After the early bird deadline until 2 days* before the CPD activity commences: $100 administration fee.
  • Less than 2 days before the CPD activity commences: No Refund.

For CPD activities overseas:

  • Before the early bird deadline: 100% Refund.
  • After the early bird deadline until 2 weeks* before the CPD activity commences: $300 administration fee.
  • Less than 2 weeks before the CPD activity commences: No Refund.

*Includes weekends and holidays.

A full refund may be offered under the following circumstances:

  • The CPD activity cancelled  — for any reason, including insufficient enrollments;
  • The CPD activity is postponed by more than four weeks.

Please note: Generally, online and hybrid (online and in-person) events will have their presentations recorded and made available to registrants for a limited time. So, if a registrant cannot attend on the day, for any reason, and has not applied for a refund as indicated above, they may not be eligible for a refund.

Attendance

A minimum attendance of 80% is required for all CPD activities in order to receive a certificate of attendance.

Please note: some CPD homes may require full completion of activities (e.g. live attendance or watching the presentations, completion of questionnaire, etc) in order to approve specific CPD hours (EA, RP or MO). We will work following different CPD homes' requirements.

General information

While the information about the CPD activities was correct at the date of publication, Monash University reserves the right to alter procedures, documents, dates, fees and regulations should the need arise.

Information related to our CPD activities (e.g. registration, attendance, online learning platform, feedback survey) may be shared with professional and accrediting bodies for confirmation of CPD hours/points.

We reserve the right to utilise anonymised data gathered through CPD activities for internal reporting and research purposes, subject to obtaining ethical approval.

Data Protection and Privacy

Personal information collected during your application, registration and CPD activity and feedback is governed by Monash University’s Data Protection and Privacy.

Consent to be recorded

During our courses, the presentations and associated question sessions will be recorded. As such registrants may have their face, name and/or voice recorded. By registering for this course, you consent to be recorded.

Copyright

All materials produced for teaching in our CPD activities and all other education-related activities, including lectures (videos, presentation slides and PDF files) and any supplementary materials, are protected by copyright. You are permitted to use these materials only for your personal study and research. Use of the materials for any other purposes, including sale of lecture notes, without the express permission of the copyright owner, may infringe copyright. The copyright owner may take action against you for infringement.
