Remote stores mapping

Remote stores mapping

The remote stores mapping project and directory were created to support policy and research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The directory showcases the diversity of remote retail settings and aids in supporting food security and health for residents in these areas. It specifically focuses on grocery stores in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in remote regions.

How can I access the Directory?

The collaborative Remote Community Store Directory can be accessed here:

Remote Community Store Directory

It is intended to be used across sectors as a vehicle for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in remote communities and their allies to describe these unique contexts to help design effective policy and strategy to enhance health and equity for remote residents.

How can I get involved?

You can contribute to the Directory by adding stores or notifying if a store is no longer operational by filling out the ‘Contribute Location’ form. This helps to create a dynamic and relevant Directory.
