Profile

Dr Nadida Kachkouche is a senior lecturer in the Department of General Practice at Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. She is the Clinical Skills Coordinator for the Year 1 MD course. Between 2012 and 2015, she also co-chaired the Year 1 and 2 Assessment Working Group. Before joining Monash, she was based in the United Arab Emirates where she practiced as a General Practitioner at a major public primary healthcare centre for over 20 years. During that time, she also held simultaneous roles including the supervision of medical students in their primary health care elective training, the Quality Assurance Coordinator and the Coordinator for Continuing Medical Education. A dedicated medical educator, Dr Kachkouche is passionate about student centred teaching, assessment for learning, and about ensuring that patients’ voices and views are truly reflected in the Year 1 MD course. In 2009, she was awarded the Monash University Deputy Dean (MBBS) Award for Excellence in Small Group Teaching MBBS. In 2022, she introduced a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) program in the Year 1 MD course in collaboration with Nagoya University, Japan.
