Monash General Practice Students Network (GPSN)

General Practice Students Network (GPSN) is run by students interested in general practice as a specialty, for students with the same interest, facilitated by the General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA) head office to create programs and resources to support the next generation of Australia's general practitioners. GPSN offers programs focused on exposing medical students to the inspiring diversity of a career in general practice. Activities include fun clinical skill sessions, social events, seminars and conferences, peer support and networking opportunities.'

Monash GPSN committee comprises of 17 members with the aim to promote general practice and provide a network for Monash medical students.

Monash GPSN run events and workshops throughout the year, which include:

  • Information nights for students including the Careers Night
  • Revision sessions for students
  • OSCE practice night
  • GP 'crash course' weekend that is predominantly aimed at 4th year students to revise GP material
  • Indigenous and rural events
  • GP Affiliate Dinner (in association with the Faculty)

GPSN also advertise programs, events and scholarships available in general practice, inc. First Wave scholarship and GP conferences.
