What you need to know about vaping

Vaping is marketed as trendy and harmless - but the facts tell a different story. Whether you’re curious, concerned, or looking to support friends, this page provides trustworthy information about the health risks, legal rules, and ways to get help.

How to get help

Thinking about quitting vaping, or just want to understand your options? You’re not alone. There are free, judgment-free resources available to help you feel confident and supported every step of the way.

Free support at Monash University Health Service (UHS)

Monash students can book a free appointment with a medical professional at the UHS to discuss vaping concerns and explore cessation options. Clinicians are trained to provide:

  • Personalised advice
  • Referral pathways
  • Access to UNCLOUD educational materials
  • Support for managing nicotine withdrawal and triggers
