Bariatric Surgery Registry
The primary aim of the Bariatric Surgery Registry is to measure outcomes for patients undergoing bariatric surgery across public and private hospitals in Australia and New Zealand. It is predominantly a quality and safety registry. This proposal has the support of the Australian & New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society (ANZMOSS) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), which regards the registry establishment as an important step forward in monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes across Australia and New Zealand.
The Bariatric Surgery Registry is a part of the Central Clinical School.

Text messages for annual outcome collection
The Bariatric Surgery Registry currently collects information from you every year up to 10 years after your first bariatric surgery.
You may receive an SMS with a link to report your annual income data. This will require your date of birth or you to complete your survey. You may also be contacted via phone call or email.
If you receive an SMS and are unsure if it is from the Registry, please get in touch with us.
Participation is entirely voluntary and your care at this practice will not be affected by your decision to complete the survey. See flyer
