About us
Advancing Sexual Health Through Research, Innovation and Education
At Melbourne Sexual Health Centre (MSHC), we are improving sexual health through world-leading research, evidence-based education, clinical excellence and meaningful partnerships.
As Victoria's only full-time public sexual health service and a globally recognised research centre, we are uniquely positioned to identify emerging health challenges, generate new evidence and rapidly translate discoveries into better care, policy and practice. Our work supports stronger health systems and evidence-based policy across Australia, the Western Pacific region and internationally.
Our researchers work alongside clinicians, educators, policymakers and communities to address some of the most important sexual health issues facing Australia and the world, from sexually transmitted infections and HIV prevention to digital health, implementation science and equitable access to care.
Everything we do is guided by a commitment to scientific excellence, health equity and improving the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.

By advancing knowledge, reducing health inequities and strengthening health systems, we aim to improve sexual health outcomes across Victoria, Australia and the broader region.
