Our VRelovate tool
VRelovate, developed by researchers at Monash Business School’s Opportunity Tech Lab, combines no-code virtual reality creation with end-user personalisation. Non-technical users can create immersive 180° and 360° learning experiences through simple drag-and-drop tools, and end users can configure their viewing experience to suit their sensory needs. For instance, learners can adjust font styles to improve readability for dyslexia or modify colour palettes to accommodate visual impairments. These real-time adjustments improve accessibility and reduce cognitive load, supporting more inclusive onboarding, learning and development.
Early evaluations show promising outcomes for career development among supported employees with intellectual disabilities. Participants used virtual career exploration to identify roles that matched their interests and strengths, while also building confidence for open employment.
Expanding these benefits will require further investment and industry collaboration. Partnerships with funders, government programs, and research organisations can help scale VRelovate across sectors, advancing workplace inclusion and delivering measurable social impact.
Accessibility
VRelovate enables people with psychosocial sensitivities or those in remote locations to access training, networking, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities from home that might otherwise remain inaccessible.
