The socioeconomic determinants of local print, radio and digitial news media availability
Project description
This is a preliminary project proposal for an empirical analysis of the socio-economic determinants of local newspaper circulation in Australia. The project time-frame is around 4 months. This project will potentially build the foundation for a longer-term collaboration between PIJI and SoDa Labs (Monash University) exploring the use of novel data science methods and granular data to support PIJI’s objectives to support public interest journalism across Australia and beyond.
