Monash Haemostasis and Thrombosis Research Group
The Monash Haemostasis and Thrombosis Research group is a multidisciplinary collective of clinician–researchers dedicated to advancing the many areas of “classical” or “non-malignant” haematology. The group has expertise spanning venous and arterial thrombosis, bleeding disorders, fibrinolysis, haemoglobinopathies, haematology in critical care, immunohaematology, obstetric haematology and anticoagulation stewardship, reflecting the breadth of the haemostasis and thrombosis service and research within Monash Haematology.
Bringing together expertise in both clinical practice and laboratory science, the group aims to integrate translational and clinical research to address key gaps in patient care with a shared commitment to improving the care and experience of patients with haemostasis and thrombosis-related disorders. The group aims to translate scientific discovery into meaningful clinical impact through high-quality research, clinical trials, education and training of future clinicians and scientists, advocacy, and contributions to policy and guideline development.
