This course is designed for Obstetric registrars, GPs, Midwives and Hospital Medical Officers interested in Obstetrics and consultants keen for a refresher.

Online with live webinars. You'll also be able to access presentation recordings and useful resources post-webinar. So if you miss, you cannot attend to all talks, you will be able to watch them online later.

Program outline

This fully online workshop includes presentations by world-renowned clinicians and scientists. It will enhance your understanding of normal pregnancy and its common complications:

  • Physiology of labour
  • Spontaneous labour and induction of labour
  • Preterm birth
  • Respiratory and circulatory transition at birth
  • Timing of cord clamping & initiation of respiratory support
  • Instrumental vaginal birth and VBAC
  • Postpartum hemorrhage

There will also be opportunities to bring case-studies for further discussion. Please open the course flyer on the right column for details.

Note: The Fundamentals in Obstetric Care I  course is not a prerequisite for the Fundamentals in Obstetrics Care II.
