International student requirements
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
Admittance into the Physiotherapy program is offered to international applicants on a full-fee basis.
The course is a four year program with only one intake per year, in February. Additionally, other expenses students would expect to incur are accommodation, transport and living expenses, uniforms for clinical attachments plus textbooks and stationery.
Monash University considers each applicant's academic record and completion of pre-requisite subjects to the required level for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours).
International VCE applicants who are ONSHORE MUST apply through VTAC online
International applicants who are OFFSHORE must apply directly through International Recruitment Service (IRS) at Monash University by the due date (please see https://www.study.monash/courses/find-a-course/2017/physiotherapy-m3002?international=true&id=429234 for date information).
An interview is no longer an admission requirement for entry into the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours).
ATAR or Year 12 equivalent
Students must have a high score in at least Year 12 equivalent subjects of English, and any two of chemistry, biology, mathematical methods, specialist mathematics or physics.
All students must have successfully completed the pre-requisite units in order to apply to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) course. If you have not met the pre-requisites, successful completion of two semesters of tertiary studies in the pre-requisite VCE subjects at a recognised tertiary institution would be considered comparable to VCE success in those subjects.
Each applicant's academic results are assessed individually.
Applicants can also meet the English language requirement by taking a recognised English language test:
IELTS
- Applicants need to achieve a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 with no individual band less than 6.5.
TOEFL
- in the written TOEFL, 587, with a Test of Written English (TWE) score of at least 4.5;
- in the internet-based TOEFL, an overall score of 94, with at least 24 in the written section and no less than 20 in any other section.
