National Cardiac Registry (NCR)
The National Cardiac Registry (NCR) is a clinical quality registry in cardiovascular disease and related cardiac devices, prioritised for development due to the burden of disease in Australia. The NCR collects clinically meaningful data to ensure safety and quality in Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), with the aim of improving patient outcomes nationally through the use of key performance measures.
The NCR is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health, and utilises a collaborative, federated model for engagement, participation and support. The NCR hosts data from all States and Territories through its State-of-the-art digital platform, with capabilities to view dynamic reporting, in order to benchmark against the National cohort.
The operations of the NCR are managed through Monash University within the Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics (CCRET). For further information please visit:
