Vape Free Uni Hackathon

Vape Free Uni Hackathon

Multi University Health Promotion Hackathon

Program details

The Vape Free Uni Hackathon is a dynamic and collaborative initiative uniting six Victorian universities funded through the VicHealth Vaping Prevention Collective Impact 2.0 Grants program – Deakin University, Monash University, La Trobe University, Australian Catholic University, Federation University, and University of Melbourne.

This exciting event aims to empower students to harness their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills to tackle the pressing public health issue of vaping among young people aged 18-25 years, and to develop bold new ideas to address vaping among university students. Participants will form multidisciplinary teams of six students (one representative from each university), fostering cross-institutional collaboration and diverse perspectives.

The winning team will be awarded an intensive two-week internship to bring their idea to life, working closely with stakeholders to refine, develop, and support implementation of their solution across university campuses.
