- Commencing students: Number of new students to a particular course
- Total enrolments: Total number of students in the academic year
- Completions: Students who have completed the program (who have either graduated or who are eligible for graduation)
- Retention rate: The number of students who re-enrol in the same course in the next reference year, as a proportion of students who were enrolled in the current reference year less any course completions.
