The Faculty of Education brings together some of the world’s leading experts in human development, inclusive education, mental health, wellbeing, health education, and early childhood.


 

Prof Andrea Reupert is a Professor at Monash University, Clayton, and Head of the Educational Psychology and Counselling School in the Faculty of Education.

Prof Reupert's area of expertise is in the area of families living with adversity, especially those where a parent has a mental illness.  Working in collaboration with parents and youth, Andrea has established an active program of research regarding evidence based interventions for families and professional development materials for clinicians.

Prof Reupert currently collaborates with MARC members on various projects, including:

Growing Minds Australia: A National Trials Strategy to Transform Child and Youth Mental Health Services


 

A/Prof Laura Alfrey's research focuses on Health and Physical education (HPE), sport, active recreation and physical activity contexts, and the ways which policy, professional learning and practice contribute to inclusive and educative experiences for everyone. Her research attends to three of the five Faculty of Education research themes, namely 'Transforming Teaching and Learning', 'Educating for Diversity and Inclusion' and 'Enhancing Health and Wellbeing'.

Over the past 15 years, Laura has developed expertise in a range of innovative research methods, and has experience working with children, young people, teachers, coaches, not-for-profit organisations and policy-makers. In the past 10 years, Laura has attracted over $1.5 million in research funding.
