- empathy;
- ethical reasoning;
- motivation; and,
- resilience.
Only those applicants who attend an interview will remain in the final ranked list to be considered for a place in the course.
Important Notes
- All applicants applying for this course are only allowed to attend the MMI once. Those who are re-applying for this course and have previously attended the MMI for this course are not eligible to attend the MMI again.
- Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview via email and will be required to log in to an online system to self-allocate a time to attend. Once the system closes, changes will not be permitted and late requests cannot be accommodated.

The Faculty is required to adhere to the University's age requirements for admission.

Inherent Requirements and Reasonable Adjustments
To meet the requirements of the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash, you need to demonstrate that you have the abilities, knowledge, and skills to achieve specific core learning outcomes. These are called inherent requirements, and they are embedded in the course and unit learning outcomes. For more information, please visit https://www.monash.edu/study/courses/admissions-transparency/inherent-requirements-for-courses
Monash promotes access and equity for students who have a disability, ongoing medical or mental health condition by providing reasonable adjustments. Reasonable adjustments refer to measures or actions taken to enable students with disability to participate on the same basis as other students and reduce the impacts of their condition on their studies. If you have an approved reasonable adjustment, it is not an adjustment to the inherent requirements of the course but an adjustment to how you can fulfil the inherent requirements. If it is determined that inherent requirements cannot be met, even by implementing reasonable adjustments, we can provide guidance regarding other possible study options.
If you feel you may experience challenges meeting the inherent requirements of the course because of your disability, medical or mental health condition, please contact medicineadmissions@monash.edu for advice.
