About Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) Selection and Eligibility

Domestic applicants for graduate coursework degrees may be eligible for a government subsidised CSP place. These places are offered to graduate coursework students according to course selection criteria.

All eligible applicants who apply before the initial CSP allocation date for each intake will be considered and ranked according to course specific selection criteria, and offered CSP places according to available CSP for the course. The allocation dates are as follows:

  • Semester 1 2026: Friday 7 November 2025
  • Semester 2 2026: Friday 29 May 2026

If successful, you’ll be notified of the outcome with an offer letter issued to you. You’ll have about two weeks from the date of offer to accept the place, otherwise your place may be allocated to other candidates.

After this initial CSP allocation round, you can still apply for the course and you may still be able to receive a CSP place. We’ll make further CSP offers according to the course CSP selection criteria, if CSP places are available for your course. Otherwise, you may need to consider a full-fee place to study in your chosen course. You may be eligible for Fee-Help loans to help cover the cost of your study.

We consider all newly commencing domestic graduate coursework students - you don’t need to do anything further to apply. If you defer your offer, you will be considered for a CSP place in the intake that you seek to commence your studies.

Course CSP selection criteria are outlined below.
