Mentoring opportunities
The Dr JuMP program provides a platform for regional medical professionals to connect and grow by facilitating relationships whilst also providing mentoring support, education, event and networking opportunities.
Awards and Bursaries
Rural Resume Boost Bursary
If you are a medical trainee looking to strengthen your prospects as you work towards your chosen specialty, our Rural Resume Boost Bursary of up to $2000 could be just the encouragement you need to invest in extra training. Through this program, we offer a limited number of bursaries to assist medical trainees who live and work in rural Victoria's Loddon Mallee and Gippsland areas to access training and professional development activities.
Rural Talent Awards
The Monash Regional Training Hubs Rural Talent Awards are an annual opportunity for junior doctors to be recognised by peers, strengthen CVs and receive a small cash prize. The awards recognise excellence and commitment to the rural medical workforce and are presented during intern orientation each year.
Medical research development
The DRIVERS (Doctors for Regional Innovation, Vision, Excellence, Research and Scholarship) conference is presented yearly by the North West Victoria Regional Training Hub to highlight and showcase academic innovation and excellence in rural and regional medicine. It is a great opportunity for regional junior doctors, registrars, fellows, consultants and medical students to present to an audience of their peers. Pre-conference workshops are also offered to support early career researchers to develop their research presentations.
Monash alumni support
If you’re an alumni you can access the Monash Alumni Program, designed to open opportunities of all kinds for Monash graduates. The Hubs themselves organise Alumni-focused events too, such as Gippsland’s 10 year celebration of the Monash Churchill Medical School.
