Purpose / aims: The purpose of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Surgeons (ANZSRS) Retinal Surgery Registry is to monitor clinical outcomes from selected retinal surgical procedures with the aim of driving clinical improvement. A secondary aim is the use of the data for research.
Population captured: Surgery undertaken for retinal disease with a particular focus on Macular Hole, Retinal Detachment and Epiretinal Membrane.
Outcomes collected: For diseases of focus a comprehensive dataset of demographic, baseline clinical, operative and ophthalmic outcomes are collected. Specific data depends on the disease/procedure. For other retinal surgeries only demographic information and type of surgery is collected (no outcomes).
Year established: 2014
Funding source: The Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO)
