Public health is an incredibly diverse field, offering a wide choice of fascinating career options. So much so that it can sometimes be hard to envision a career path.

  • Providing evidence that helps urban planners build bike-friendly cities? That’s public health.
  • Building software to help predict how a viral outbreak will spread through a community? That’s public health.
  • Managing a clinical trial to investigate a promising new drug therapy? That’s public health.
  • Developing and delivering community programs to support refugee and migrant health? That’s public health.

Join public health lecturer Bethany Howard, and health and science communicator Kirsten Marks, as they talk to people working in a wide variety of public health roles, to learn about their journeys from high school to current day, what a day in their working life looks like, and lessons learned along the way.
