Purpose / Aims: Significant burn injury is a distinct and important component of the overall burden of injury in Victoria and across Australia. BRANZ provides valuable information on the incidence, aetiology, management and outcomes of burn injury admitted to Australian and New Zealand specialist burn centres.
Population Captured: The overall goal of the registry is to collect data on all burn patients admitted to a BRANZ burn unit who meet the inclusion criteria.
Outcomes Collected: BRANZ collects in-hospital outcomes including mortality, length of stay, complications and discharge destination.
