Aus-ROC – Centre of Research Excellence
The Australian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (Aus-ROC) has been established to promote and conduct multi-centre clinical research in the area of pre-hospital cardiopulmonary arrest.
The Consortium is modelled on the highly successful North American (United States and Canada) Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (ROC).
Mission
Aus-ROC's mission is to improve outcomes in patients with out-of-hospital cariopulmonay arrest.
Funding
Aus-ROC has been funded by the National Health and Medical Research Centre (NHMRC) to:
- Support the conduct and development of innovative, high quality, collaborative research;
- Ensure effective translation of research into health policy and/or practice;
- Foster and build capacity in the health and medical research workforce; and
- Provide opportunities for collaborations between research teams.
The Consortium values
- Innovation, creativity and intellectual development of scientific thought;
- Respectful and collegiate relationships within their group, the pre-hospital and emergency care community and with collaborators; and
