Catherine is currently a lecturer in the Student Academic Support Unit (SASU) based in the Department of Social Work. Her role is to develop and deliver English language learning programs for written and verbal communication.
Catherine started with SASU in mid-2018 and has been teaching in the field of language and linguistics since 2012. She completed her PhD in cognitive semantics at Monash University in 2017.
Catherine’s research interests include gamification of learning, simulation in second language learning, student engagement, cognitive linguistics, language and the imagination, referential semantics and assessment literacy for students and academics.
