Master of Social Work

Develop the practical, people-focused skills needed for successful social work practice

The Master of Social Work trains you to work with vulnerable people and communities and make impactful change. This accredited degree helps you develop the essential knowledge, context, practical skills and professional work experience to practice as a qualified social worker.

At Monash, your learning goes beyond the lecture theatre - with simulated scenarios, small group workshops and objective structured clinical examinations (or OSCEs). You will learn directly from globally-recognised researchers and social work practitioners from our dedicated Department of Social Work. Our program will teach you evidence-based practice, based on the latest research and insights from the field.
