Ria Jumabhoy
Bachelor of Arts; Psychology (Honours)
Monash offers access to leading researchers in several fields, whether they were guest lecturers or permanent staff members, who have been able to give me an insight into the work I hope to do in the future.
During your degree you will be exposed to very different areas of Psychology, and it's important to explore these options rather than feeling locked in to an initial idea. Allow yourself to be open to new paths, and try to obtain experience in different fields as early as you can so that you get a feel for the real-world work that you might end up doing.
Michelle James
Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
I chose to study psychology because I'm fascinated by the brain and the way our thoughts can affect our behaviour.
I'm hoping to do both honours and a doctorate after my undergraduate course to become a clinical psychologist. I want to work in the field of food addiction and eating disorders.

Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
One of the reasons I chose this degree was the inclusion of honours, as I hope to pursue a career in neuropsychology in the future. This course covers different fields of study, with a particular focus on the biological side of psychology, which will help guide me towards my desired career.
Luis Mascaro
Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
I chose to study Psychology at Monash University, because it ticked every box that an aspiring psychology student would want out of a psychology undergraduate course.
Out of all the options, Monash’s psychology course was the obvious choice for me, due to its direct and scientifically thorough approach to creating the most up-to-date and innovative foundation to the study of psychology, that I knew would be the ideal platform for later postgraduate studies or careers in the field.
