In this video series we interview psychology graduates, many of which are Monash alumni, who have established careers in a variety of different workplace settings. We also interview workplace employers, to better understand what they are looking for when hiring Psychology graduates.

Lauren Watson, Teaching Associate Project Officer

We speak with Lauren Watson, a PhD Candidate in her final year, who currently works at Monash as a Teaching Associate and Project Officer. Lauren forms part of our education-focused academic team, within the School of Psychological Sciences.

Luis Mascaro, Research Assistant Teaching Associate

We speak with Luis Mascaro, recent graduate of the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) program. Luis currently works at Monash as a Research Assistant in the field of Sleep & Circadian Rhythms, and as a Teaching Associate within the School of Psychological Sciences.

Chiara McDowell, Psychologist Teaching Associate

We speak with Chiara McDowell, graduate of the Master of Education and Developmental Psychology program. Chiara currently works as a Psychologist and a Teaching Associate within the School of Psychological Sciences.

Hannah Gersh, Provisional Psychologist, Masters of Clinical Psychology student

We speak with Hannah Gersh, a Monash Psychology alumna. Hannah is a Provisional Psychologist and student in the Master of Clinical Psychology program at RMIT.

Justin Scanlon and Doss Duscher, Hearth Personal Care Services

We speak with Justin Scanlon, Managing Director, and Doss Duscher, General Manager of People & Culture, at Hearth Support Services. Hearth provides disability support to individuals and families, and recruits Disability Support Workers and Relationship Managers. They have hired not only Monash Psychology graduates, but also current students.

Rob Veitch, Head of Data, SEEK

We speak with Dr Rob Veitch, the Head of Data at SEEK, Australia's leading employment marketplace. Rob studied his Honours and Masters in Psychology, before completing a PhD in Information Systems. He then worked his way up in the business world before his current position at SEEK.

Ellen Stavrinos, Data Analyst

We speak with Ellen Stavrinos, PhD Candidate at Monash, and Data Analyst at Forethought Research. Ellen has worked in the business field for nearly five years, and has previously worked at ANZ Bank as a Data Analyst.

Danielle Amiet, Community Engagement Worker, headspace

We speak with Danielle Amiet, graduate of the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) program. Danielle currently works as a Community Engagement Worker & Peer Support Worker for headspace Dandenong and Narre Warren. Alongside this role, Danielle also worked as Deputy Convenor for the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) program.

Kelly Atkins, Psychologist & Research Fellow

We speak with Kelly Atkins, a Psychologist and graduate of the Doctor of Clinical Neuropsychology program. She currently works as a Research Fellow at St Vincent's Hospital, and holds the title of Deputy Convenor for the Psychology Honours program within the School of Psychological Sciences.

Angie Phong, Business Analyst & HR Consultant

We speak with Angie Phong, recent graduate of the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) program. She currently works at Forethought Research as a Business Analyst, as well as a Human Resources Consultant with CHASE.

Dr Andy Bridges, Higher Education Strategy Consultant

We speak with Dr Andy Bridges, a Higher Education Strategy Consultant at the Chisholm Institute of TAFE. Andy completed his PhD in Psychology. He then worked in Higher Education for over 20 years before his current role at Chisholm Institute.
